The Iron Ring of Castles. Built by Edward I in the 12th Century. The purpose of building the iron ring of castles was to control the native Welsh population. he famous four of Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech and Beaumaris having been granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status and are a spectacular way to spend a day.
The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, is another UNESCO World Heritage Site worthy of a visit. Completed by Thomas Telford in 1805. This one's not for the feint hearted! With a height of 126ft above the river below, the views are both spectacular, if not a little nervy.
WREXHAM AFC- Since the documentary series Welcome To Wrexham following the Third oldest football club in the world. Wrexham has become a go to destination for touring! You can visit the ground, have a drink in the famous TURF pub, visit St Giles church(one of the seven wonders of Wales), check out Erddig hall, Chirk Castle, Llangollen town, Chester City and it's Roman heritage.
